Live football xG and pressure stats
What live xG and the RadarFutebol pressure index mean, how Score de Lances is calculated, and how to read the pressure chart of a match. A free account shows live score, minute and red cards.
What live xG means here
In football analytics, xG (expected goals) usually estimates how likely a shot is to become a goal. RadarFutebol uses the same name for a different, simpler thing: a live index of the quality of the chances each team has created in the match.
The value is not a number of goals. A team can show a high xG after six minutes without that being absurd, because the scale is a points scale. The reliable way to read it is the colour code on the panel.
Below 8
No highlight. The team has not built much yet.
8 to 10
Yellow. The team is starting to create.
10 to 15
Light green. A good volume of chances.
Above 15
Dark green. Strong pressure, a hot moment of the match.
How RadarFutebol measures pressure
Pressure is measured by Score de Lances (SL), the attacking-pressure index of the last 10 minutes. It is built from five kinds of event: shots on target, shots hitting the woodwork, corners, dangerous attacks and penalties. The higher the SL, the harder the team has been pushing recently.
Individual Pressure
Triggered when one team's SL reaches 8 or more. That team is pressing hard.
Goal Moment
Triggered when the SL of both teams adds up to 13 or more. The match is open and a goal is more likely, from either side.
Dangerous attacks
One of the inputs of SL, shown as its own column in the panel next to shots and corners.
Goal probability (%)
A separate column, calculated in real time from the match stats.
The Oracle is the match screen that brings these indicators together minute by minute: score, SL for both teams, xG, predicted and actual stoppage time, the timeline of events and the pressure chart. Following several matches at once is what the Oracle Hub is for.
The 10-minute window matters: a shot from the 12th minute no longer counts in the 40th. That is why the TOTAL, 5 min and 10 min filters exist: the same match looks different depending on how far back you look.
How to read the pressure chart
The chart on the match page runs along the match minutes, from the start to the final whistle, with a vertical mark at half-time. For live matches it sits on the detailed match page, which is part of the Oracle plan.
- Each bar is one minute. A bar above the centre line means the home team has the higher xG index in that window; a bar below the line means the away team does.
- The bar height is the size of the gap between the two teams in that minute, not the value of either team. Tall bars mean one side was clearly on top.
- Goal icons mark the minute of each goal, for the team that scored.
- Markers show when a pressure alert started and when it ended, so you can see how long a spell of pressure lasted and whether it ended in a goal.
- Hovering over a marker shows the minute.
A quick read: a run of tall bars on one side followed by a goal says the goal came from sustained pressure. Tall bars with no goal say the team is creating but not converting. Short bars on both sides say an even match.
What these numbers do and do not tell you
- They describe recent activity on the pitch. They do not predict the final result.
- They depend on the live data feed. Not every match has an Oracle, so some matches show fewer indicators than others.
- A high reading is a reason to look at the match, not a recommendation to act on it.
- The AI analysis is information only and is not available for every match.

Frequently asked questions
What does xG mean on RadarFutebol?
It is RadarFutebol's own index of the quality of the chances each team creates. It is not expected goals in the textbook sense and is not measured in goals, so there is no "good" number in goals. You read it by the colour scale: from 8 a team is starting to create, above 10 it is creating well, and above 15 the pressure is strong.
What is Score de Lances (SL)?
Score de Lances is the attacking-pressure index for the last 10 minutes. It is calculated from shots on target, shots hitting the woodwork, corners, dangerous attacks and penalties. When one team reaches 8 the site flags Individual Pressure; when both teams add up to 13 it flags a Goal Moment.
Is live xG the same as the number I see on other sites?
Not necessarily. Providers build xG with their own models, and RadarFutebol's xG is a points index calculated on live match events. Compare matches inside RadarFutebol using the colour scale, and do not compare its value with xG from another source.
How often does the data update?
The panel updates while the match is being played, and the TOTAL, 5 min and 10 min filters let you look at the whole match or only the most recent minutes.
Can I use it without paying?
Yes. A free account shows live score, minute and red cards for every match and has no time limit. The Oracle subscription unlocks the full pressure indicators, the alerts and the AI analysis.
Where does the data come from?
Scores, stats and line-ups come from live sports data providers. xG, Score de Lances, the alerts and the AI analysis are RadarFutebol's own calculations on top of that data.
Does a high pressure reading mean a goal is coming?
No. Pressure and xG describe what is happening on the pitch. They can make a goal more likely, but they never guarantee one, and nothing on the site is a promise of results.
